Fire and security servicing for the East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association

Jackson Fire & Security are proud to partner with the East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association providing fire and security servicing across their property portfolio.

The fire protection company based in Cambridge service the RFCA’s properties across 7 counties in the South of England including Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Hertfordshire.

East Anglia RFCA is one of 13 individual Reserve Forces’ and Cadet’s Associations which cover the UK.

In East Anglia, the Estates team manage 500 individual buildings including 14 Army Reserve Centres and 200 Cadet sites.

Jackson Fire & Security provide fire extinguisher, access control and CCTV servicing annually, along with fire door inspections and intruder alarm servicing every six months.

All of the intruder alarms are monitored to the highest grade 4 which means the alarm status is checked and constantly monitored every minute of the day. This is in line with the MOD’s security requirements as some sites are armouries holding military weapons.

Sam Gale, Branch Director for the Cambridge region, said: “Having been a Lance Corporal in the REME before joining Jackson Fire & Security, working with the local RFCA is really important to me. We have managed to build an excellent rapport with the Estates team over the last 5 years and we are aligned in our values which is placing the highest priority on the safety of people and properties.”

The RFCA maintain the estate to the required legal standard, ensuring that all sites are kept in good condition, fit for purpose and secure through good project and facilities management.

Headed by David Routledge, the Estates team is based at the East Anglia RFCA headquarters in Chelmsford. David and his team work closely with approved contractors and consultants to provide a professional service to the estate and its users.

Formed in 1991, Jackson Fire & Security has built a reputation for quality, reliability and service, and is NSI gold-accredited for fire safety and security systems.

They provide a one-call service whereby their engineers service fire and security systems, plus emergency lighting and fire extinguishers during a single visit, to save inconvenience and site attendance fees for customers.

Jackson Fire & Security offer a full package of fire and security solutions for businesses across Cambridgeshire including Cambridge, Huntingdon, St Neots and Ely.

Jackson Fire & Security employ over 60 people from their head office in North Wales and regional branches in North West England, Yorkshire, Teesside, Cambridgeshire, London, Surrey and Kent.
